6/5L Locobots

Dear Bloggers,

Robots come in all shapes and sizes and do not always roll on wheels. The challenge was to design and build a robot that moved ‘a different way’.

The robot needed to:

  • be robust so that no parts detached at any time.
  • use two motors.
  • have a name.
  • move backwards and forwards.

Advanced.

  • have an ultrasonic sensor.
  • approach an object and reverse when it was less than 10cm away from it.
  • jiggle.
  • have displays and texts.
