Comparing two different types of cars while making a finish line

Dear Bloggers,

Years 3 and 4 made two identical cars and timed how long they took to move dowan a ramp. The reading were taken 3 times and the students calculated the average.

One car remained untouched, acting as a control, and the other was changed.  Changing one variable at a time, the stuents used a fair test to see whether the changes they made made to the car mader it go faster or not. We then discussed what made made the experimental car travel faster.

4/3 L and EV3

Dear Bloggers,

Year 4/3 L are having a term of working with the EV3s. They have designed and built their own robots and now they are programing them to move forwards, backwards and turn using  Tank Bot and the steering slider.  Robots are being used with sensors as the ultrasonic, touch and lights sensor and these allow the robot to detect things in the environment and respond accordingly.  Bots are now following black lines and much more.
