1/2s were continuing to investigate levers. They constructed 2 catapults: one with a small load arm and the other with a long load arm. They predicted and tested which one could propel an object further. Pupils then applied this knowledge to design achampion catapult. The strength of the device was important as catapults with long load arms often break so students had to reinforce their designs.
