Dear Bloggers,

4L have been building a drawbridge that uses a motion sensor to detect  boats. They programmed the bridge to lift up slowly and stop while the vessel passed and then carefully move back down.  Lots of maths, problem solving, explaining, discussing, modifying, designing, planning, drawing diagrams,making and programming has been involved.
